You know that prickling feeling you get when you look at a painting that’s basically just a colourful sneeze, and you have to pretend to love it because there’s apparently some deep underlying THOUGHT behind the ugliness, but you don’t really get it at all, and are suspicious that the artist is just conning you? I felt that for 4 continuous years during art college.
